I have had tremendous support from Scott (Tennessee Diesel Conversions) with an engine built by him and advice about almost every phase of the conversion. Just got the vehicle out of the garage on Wednesday March 10Th!!!!!!!!!
The original axles (Dana 44 and Dana 60 simi-float) were removed as were the axle mounting locations. New suspension mounts were designed by myself and then fabricated and welded to the frame by Poway Welding (John). Added were Dana 60 front and Dana 70 rear axles with all fab work for the truck completed it will have the cab extended 16", Class 4 custom hitch, Aluminum 25 gallon diesel tank, floor cut and boxed to allow the 4" exhaust to exit over the top of the transfer case ........ and almost everything else up to and including cutting the wheel tubs and extending them inward by 3" to allow tire clearance.
The complete exhaust system was put together by A&A Muffler (Willy - Poway CA). The exhaust was ceramic coated for the down pipe (pieces of mandrel 4" pipe), with use of a '03 kit with an oval tail pipe to keep my departure angle as high as possible. All of the components allow complete flex of the suspension without contact!
