Ok started the wheeler up today...let it warm up to move it so could do some driveway cleanup....puddle of oil under where it sat....when running it is being blown out the dip stick tube...what problem am i looking at now?...Whats best/cheapist way to fix....have a 4.0 engine(low miles) and all the wiring to drop in it but havent had time...so now i just had to replace starter and carb now this problem....should i fix or just yank and drop new in

The only thing I can think of to make oil blow out of the dipstick when the engine is running is blow-by (crankcase pressure). I would check the easiest thing first, pvc valve... if you have one. Your crankcase has to be vented so it won't build internal pressure. If you have good crankcase ventilation, I would do a compression check next to look for a low cylinder (bad rings will cause a tremendous amount of crankcase pressure).. Could be a few other things, but to me these are the most likely.. Hope this helps

One of the first signs of blow by in a 4.0 almost always shows up by putting a little oil into the air breather box..from the
PCV line that goes there. Almost every high mileage 4.0 I've ever been around did this. As stated, check the PCV valve. If not coming into the air box, it has to go somewhere.
