Has anyone had this same problem...only happens on heavy rain. Where is the source of the water leak? Thanks

Check your fresh air vents.Dirt and leaves build up inside and clog the water drains. You should check both sides. You can also place door screen under your cowl vent to keep leaves out.I'm doing this now, using a smoke colored screen.

Another source of this leak are the door hinges....where they slide into the fender. It seems water will flow right into those holes and if your weep holes in the bottom of the fender are plugged....it will build up and leak onto the floor. To solve this, fix your door seals in that area, and unplug or create new drain holes in the bottom on your fender.

Hope this helps.

Mine comes right from the top of my windshield.

Someone else on this forum mention that water tends to leak from the top of the roof down the inside of the front pillars. Best thing to do is to seal any possible leaks on the gutters, roof, or windshield. Ofcourse also check your weather stripping. I will be doing this before the winter comes.
Hope this helps. :D

on mine i found a hole up under the dash missing a grommet, there are two holes there on the passenger side ( driver's ??? ) one is for the antennae grommet, the other ???, this will be difficult to get at with an a/c unit installed, also ck your wiper motor shaft seal as the linkage is the dash and also the wiper arm driveshaft seals underneadth the cowl

Another thought.....if the rubber seal on the outside of the door window is bad then water can leak into the door itself and if you do not have holes in the bottom of the door water can build up in the door during a heavy rain and overflow through the door speakers if equiped.
