I don't think anyone around here has done something like that but you might get lucky with a search!

I have 1 3/4 inch square tubing that is 1/4 inch wall. I know its kind of Ghetto but I was thinking of making my exocage out of this.

As I said before, Ghetto. So I was going to cut it and weld as I go, with alot of reinforcements. I can't think of a good design though to make it go around the body.

I thought it was round as I reread your post I saw it is square. IMHO I would not make an exocage out of this. I personally do not like most exocages. I used to think I did, but I came around.

Use this material for rock sliders, or crossmembers is fine. not for rollcages, or exocages.

Why build an exocage to protect the body, when it ends up making the rig look ugly? I think a rock rashed rig looks way better than a exo'd rig. It also ads weight, and ads width to the rig.
