Oil was filling up my air filter so I checked out the PCV system. Turned out the restriction was down in the intake manifold. I stuck a fish-tape about 4" down the PCV port and hollowed it out the best I could. This definitely improved it some but, it still appears somewhat restricted. Is there any way to clean this out well without pulling the intake manifold off the engine?

You should be able th spray carb cleaner in it but beshure to change your oil afterwards, it will loosen crud and it will all go into oil.

Good idea mhoffer. I'll soak it down before my next oil change!

hhhhmmmm....doesn't that PCV port go into the intake runners? if so it will just pass the scum out the exhaust.......

Not that end; it drops right into the lifter valley. Crud dislodged from that tube would likely drop right onto the cam lobe, and get caught on that lobe under the lifter (think of a shopping-cart wheel when a pebble gets stuck in front of it and the wheel locks up). Probably scratch the stuffing out of that lobe.
This tube is tricky to remove with the engine out of the truck. If you're going to do it with the engine in, first off, SOAK IT GOOD WITH PB-BLASTER!!! Then remove the dual-CTO and the EGR valve. Then, your best bet is to use a crowfoot box-wrench on the fitting to loosen it up. You may have to remove some vacuum fittings to do so.
When I removed mine on my '88 at its rebuild, the inside was all coked up with carbonized oil (hey, it runs right next to the EGR valve). I scraped and scraped from both ends, and soaked it in all kinds of cleaners to get it cleaned-out.
