My Wifes 88 GW is in bad need of new tires. Does anyone have a recomendation for new tires. Bare in mind This Jeep spends most of its time on the Highway. Also I live in Ohio, so it gets driven in snow. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

is there any lift?
RB did a great job of posting most tire size vs lift.do a search, you'll find lots of posts.

30x9.5" tires should do well. I'm a fan of Bridgestone Duelers. Their APT tire might be what your looking for- I run them on my daily driver Comanche.

I ran the Bridgestone Duelers on my CJ-7 when I lived in Holland, MI. With the amount of lake-effect snow we got they were well tested and I loved 'em. IIRC, the price was pretty reasonable too, but that would have been close to 7 years ago.

Nate, sent you an email. I have a set of 235/75/15 Goodyear Wrangler APT's, mounted on '88 Grand Wag rims, that might interest you.

Nate, still waiting to hear from you. Have an excellent set of tires that cost me $128 each, already mounted and balanced on '88 Grand Wag wheels, all for $200.

I bought a pair of 1/4" spacers at PepBoys, and the 325/60/15 BFG All-Terrain KO tires now fit okay -- just barely off the leaf springs, but I can live with it. So I'll be driving on them to Colorado.

Ralph can you hang on a few weeks? the last week in Sept, i'm planning a pilgrimage to Auburn IN. i could swing by and take a look at the tires. Btw are you parting out the 88? you are in the Columbus area?
