rear tailgate?

im looking at getting the manual rear window setup from bjs. I have some questions though. did this manual setup ever come on anything from the factory? is there a way to do this without buying the billion dollar conversion?? I need the gate to work for this spring car show/swap meet. THANKS FOR THE REPLIES

All the mid-70's Wagoneers I used from the government motor pool had no radio, 4-speeds, winches, and manual tailgate windows.

My first two 79 Cherokee's has manual tailgates. They were available on the Cherokee as far as I know through 83 when production stopped. I don't know about Waggie's.

carrotman- mine was used by the government in georgia or south carolina? mine didnt even come with a backseat. but it sure does have the stupid electric window!! :mad:
