Has anyone done any custom fuel doors on their Waggy?

I have always thought of doing a motorcycle set-up on one of my cars..

or a tail-light conversion.. old-school style. Shouldn't be too hard after an LED replacement.

I like the old school idea, like a 57 Chevy. It might even help with the angle on the filler tube that caused us so much trouble at fill up. Especially with the newer anti-pollution nozzles.

I think that was stock on the old Caddy's (?) Seem to remember the family's 57 caddy station wagon having that style filler.

Out here it's all Self-serve..

Plus, as I said, I may do this myself, because .. we have issues with gas-theft out here; I'll probably still use a locking cap though.
