I do not have an emmisions pump on my 87 GW. So what three belts and what brand does everyone recommend?

Whichever ones the parts stores have in stock. ;)

I change them reasonably regularly, so I'm not worried about failure.

X2 on that.

They say the Gatorback belts are better but it is alot better to smoke a $4 belt as opposed to a $17 belt.

I'm only running two belts (the pulley that came on the powermaster alternator was a single groove, and I really don't see the need for two belts) and I bought the standard $4 cheapo belts. If you look under your hood regularly then just replace them when you start to see cracking. I also keep an extra belt for the AC/Alt/waterpump in my truck, it'd be a pain to fix on the side of the road, but it's not impossible, and could really be a life saver if I were out on a trail.

I prefer Gates or Dayco. IIRC the AutoZone belts are Goodyear. They work good too.
The Alt/AC has two belts because there is not enough wrap around either one to be reliable.

I'll agree with that, I'm going to be replacing a bunch of stuff up front in the future and will figure something out then. But for the time being it's working quite well for me. I believe last time I replaced them I used Dayco. I looked up the part numbers for the Dayco belts and they're as follows:
They're all .44" wide

FAN, ALT & COMP, w/o 85 AMP ALT, w/AC - 15505 (50.5" long)

FAN, ALT & COMP, w/85 AMP ALT, w/AC - 15510 (51" long) - There's a better chance of your local parts store having this one in stock, and as stated above you'll need two

PS & FAN - 15540 (54")

The part numbers are broken down so that the last three digits give you a length. So, if they don't have a 15540 in stock, check to see if they have a 15541 (54.1") or 15539 (53.9"). A tenth of an inch shouldn't really make a difference, especially considering how much adjustment can be made. Of course, correct me if I'm wrong in that regard.
