Very cool, any future thoughts to a kit that will support the smog pump as well for those of us that have to keep emissions intact?

No stainless except a couple of spacers. That front plate is 1/2 think aluminum.

What about those of us with older engines that have the Ford 1G/2G style generator (with remote voltage regulator) and 7/16" mounting bolt in the block?

This would be for the 1977 and older rigs.

Matthew, you've done it again! That looks great! I remember us discussing this at Cordova this year.

So how much will one of these set us back?

Progress on the Double CHerry?

Have a great weekend!

The double cherry is coming very soon as well as new aluminum AMC V8 cylinder heads. Big improvement over stock without the big price tag.

Awesome part about this kit is that it uses the same length serp belt as the Jeep/Eagle 1988-92. Gates K061045 :D  Planned.......to keep it all Jeep

Not in trouble with me...heehee!
I have a question and please forgive my not knowing..? Why is this a better setup? No disrespect but I can change a lot of belts for 500+ dollars. Sure, its shiny...and way cool...but what does it do that the factory stuff doesn't...?
Help me understand please...?

Fielders Choice

Although belt tension in more uniform typically with the surpentine belt
and engine wear is more balanced less drag with one belt and most compenents can be resolved with replacing one belt. Wear on most internal parts alt bearing cam etc in more balanced uniform and can help sometimes in general longevity of parts. carry one spare repair time in the field generally quicker

Multiple belt standard pully system more 3 belts probably a bit more drag have to keep an eye or replace and repair 3 belts. Also removing more components during possible replacement of a specific belt applying specific belt tension to each belt insuring the least amount of wear on components. carry 3 or more spares repair time unknown possibly stripped bolt etc worst case scenario

So on your site it says there $879.00 which is the same cost as the Eddy aluminum heads. Is this true or is this the cost of both heads? I'm not knocking your workmanship in the slightest or your prices, but just want to clarify the above statement.

If you need a guinea pig I'd also be more than happy to help  I'm in process right now on going through a top end on the J-truck. I really want to know what the total cost involved will be with your heads because I'm thinking seriously about going to Eddy heads but if you have some then that;s what I'll use.

Pricing will be somewhere in the $800 range for 2 heads.

Sorry if I sound dense....Today I am a little, LOL! But are the heads complete, ready to bolt on for 800 bucks a pair? That seems very reasonable!

If that's the price then let me know when there available and I will surely have a set. The J truck needs them right now. Also will you have a 50-52cc version by chance? I'm hoping to gain at least a half a point on the compression side of things.

Let me know when you get those heads on your site. I'd give them a try with the engine that's in the shop now!
