Hi all, I just bought a tach for my truck. The instructions include wiring for everything but AMC, wow, that should be a shock to me by now! Does anyone know how to do it? It's a 76 J-10 with a 258/6. No points, but it does have a coil. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanx, Jim

on the coil ther should be 2 wires. on mine it is lert-red right-green. the wire from the tach goes to the left on on mine. then the other two wires are ur ground and light live feed. hook up that one to ur running lights so the bulb lasts longer.

Hey there,
It shoudl be the same as for a ford. You run a ground and a power wire to the tach itself, and the Green ( I think) from the tach goes to the negative (-) on the coil. Craig

Mine doesn't have one, was it part of the gauge cluster in some models?
