77 J10 Golden Eagle 401

I am thinking about selling my Jeep due to the economy. I am not sure how much it is worth. Any input would be appreciated. The body is fair relatively rust free, 401 engine started knocking may need rebulding. This truck came from Texas and is now in Colorado relatively dry climates. Would make a decent project truck. I do know a Golden Eagle J10 with a 401 is relatively rare. I can take pictures if this would help. Thanks for your help. JC

the engine knock is going to make it a tough sell... depending on aftermarket equipment, you could get anywhere from $500 to $1500 maybe? best guess anyhow. Photos would definitely help.

I got my '77 j-10 401 with a bad engine for $250.
Mine was not a Golden Eagle...

Good question. I hate to put price tags on other people's items. If you are not mechanically inclined, you may be able to find someone to fix the knock for relatively cheap. May be worth the trouble especially if that is a rust free truck and is in a good shape. However, it is hard to tell without seeing pictures.
