Well folks in a previous thread I mentioned I was selling my rigs to help get a new house. As I sat and pondered being jeepless I got to thinking and figured that if I just sell the waggy I can keep the Cherokee. This made me very happy as I love the Cherokee's. I'll miss my waggy but I was really butt hurt over the prospect of losing the Cherokee. I have no idea how long it will take me to get it driveable as I'm not very knowledgeable yet but I'm just super stoked that I get to keep her. I also wanted to thank all of you for your words of encouragement and sympathy.:D

I can't part with the ugly old girl :D I have wanted a Cherk ever since I got into the FSJ scene plus I can't seem to get her running on her own. She'll run off a bottle but not the tank. So this is an enourmous challenge for me and I hate to back away from a challenge. Not to mention I really wanna do a trail run in the spring with it just don't know if I can get it done in time. I sure would like to though I really enjoyed the run to Jerome last year.

That or a bad pump. I also have this canister looking thing with a fuel filter on it on the right side of the engine and I don't really know what it is that I thought might be part of the problem.

Thanks Fury5. I was really bummed about the prospect. Still gonna have to sacrifice the waggy to the realestate gods but I still get to keep my Cherk :D So I pretty stoked.

Yes !
I reframed from commenting in the other post where you were thinking of selling your Jeeps due to finacial situations . . . it was too depressing for me.

I am most happy that you get to keep the Cherk!
The thought of being Jeep-Less was terrifying and I was concerned for your well being.

Wags are a dime a dozen..Cherokees are worth keeping if relatively solid. Gitterdun!
that can is the charcoal filter that is plumbed into the system. Mines not completely hooked up and every thing still works. If you check the Post Your Links For Archive sticky, i recently submitted a thread for it that explains the cannister and replacing it quite well.
You can get a couple long lengths of rubber line and run from the pickup to the pump to the carb and see if its your metal lines that are the problem. Sock in the tank most likely is clogged up.

Nope have'nt sold the Waggy yet. I listed it on craigs list and have had several folks come look at it but they kinda want a brand new vehicle for $800.00 which kinda baffles me I know it needs a carb rebuild but it runs and drives and everything works plus it has a new cd player. I just don't get it. Tried selling it here to a fellow jeeper and was willing to throw in some spare parts with it but no luck there either. So I'm still in the same boat but I am definetly KEEPing the CHEROKEE which makes me SO VERY HAPPY:D

I would have been seriously Butt hurt about not having the Cherokee. I think they are the coolest of all the FSJ's. I just need to get her running and sell the waggy and I'll be good to go. Gonna probably take a while befor the Cherk takes her maiden voyage though. But she's stayin here with me and that brings me MUCH JOY. Thanks Bro.

I was just talking to Jaber about it and it may be the route I go. I'm just wondering if I swap the 3.5in lift on to the Cherk if I'll be able to stuff 35's in the wheel wells I have some MTR's here that need a rig to ride under but their 35's.

I just don't want to make it where no one will buy the waggy. I'm having a hard enough time selling it as it is and I was thinking of going with a 6in lift on the Cherk.

I have heard quite a few folks say the Rustys is better and cheaper. Does it ride better or is it higher quality? Whats the differance between the Rustys and the BJ's other than the price?

to me Rustys rides really good and bjs is ok ive only been in one bjs lift so but i have a rustys 4 inch about to go on my waggy with a spring over so i mean they flex so well its not funny i mean i just looked at prices to and a 6 inch from rustys is 740 with shocks and bjs start at 780 without shocks and want u to pay 125 for there lowest price shocks so.

Thats what I was just looking at. On the Rusty's 6in it says it's an all spring lift but they have 2in tapered cast iron blocks with the kit. I got confused by that. If it's an all spring lift what are the blocks for?

Not real fond of blocks but I'm not very impressed with the fact that the BJ's lift does'nt come with decent shocks included in the kit.
