Well, IT'S ALIVE!! See original problem http://www.ifsja.org/forums/vb/showthread.php?t=116542

Dad's been working on Colonel Brandon for the last few days. God bless him, it's been soooo cold and snowy out. He had to keep running in the house to warm up several times everyday.

And, today after checking (and rechecking...LOL) his work....he fired up my 79 wagoneer. Like Frankenstein in an old movie...it roared to back to life. :dancingbanana:

Dad took the Jeep out for a test drive, and was pleased to report that the Colonel was finally back and ready for the road.

Yeah!!!!

I'm sure my dad or hubby will post later all the "shop talk" about what they did. All I know is my Jeep is ready to roll...and apparently, it didn't cost a fortune!!! And, I got reminded, my dad's a pretty cool guy:p ...makes me realize what a "ninny" I am. Couldn't believe he could stand hanging outside in this weather to fix my Jeep. I whine about how cold I get going from the house to get in the car!:o

My wife Gibbsgirl God bless her decides to blame me having something to do with causing the breakdown :grumble: and then gives me no credit for helping fix it. Goes to show how much she knows about cars she doesn’t even know who's working on them. :D

My father-in-law Bill32 did most of the technical work I just helped him with the wiring. It ended up needing a new oil pressure sensor, and about 40 feet of new wiring. The Colonel got a new alternator since the old one was pulled out to do the work.

X2 Glad to hear it's running again. Dads don't get enough credit for the things they'll put themselves through for their little girls. ;)

Amen brother. Nor for their sons either...

Congrats on getting the colonel back. Make sure you give both them a large hug and a 6 pack of their favorite.... We like that.:D
