Does anyone know where to get the bushing that fits into (what I believe is called) the Dovetail? There are two pins that the Waggie tailgate sits on when closed to help keep it from moving. The female end has a plastic or similar material bushing inside that breaks eventually and things get noisy. I want those bushings. Know of a source?

The only source I've ever found has been the junkyards. Maybe BJ's will come up with something...

Are you talking about the tapered pins near the top of the gate?

I have a good pair I could send you.

I don't know if you tried that place yet....

Worth a phone call. Even if they don't have it, maybe they will lead you to someone who may???

You can try your locaj Jeep dealer. They were still available the last
I knew. The part number is something like j5358444 or j5468444
I remember that it ended in 3 4's 444 John
I can get the actual # if you need it.

I stopped by there on the way home. Had salesmen foaming at the mouth when I rumbled up in the Big Dog. They musta thought I wanted one of them new-fangled Cummins that suck fuel.
Anyways, they could look up tailgate parts back to '84, but the scanned picture was so crappy you could not make out the tiny bits on the side of the tailgate. I think I have a parts list on this computer still. I'll let you know if I need help.
