I just got my Rancho 5012's and was curious how you guys prefer to run yours. Tube at top, or bottom? With or without the boots? Or is there a right or wrong way to run them? Thanks

Rancho's are designed to run in either orientation. I have mine on the J10 with boot down on the rear axle, otherwise it would bind on the tube(cuz of the lift). Besides that I run all my ranchos with the boot on top. I use the boot because this is dust city. I wouldn't use them if I were in another climate.

I run my 9012's with the tube at the top, mainly to protect the adjustment dial.

Thanks for the input. I am going to see if I can run the rears with the tube on top, cuz one of my current ones has a good size dent in it, have no idea from what though. They may not fit that way though because of my gas tank. The fronts I will just see what I like better. Probably run the boots to, cant really se any reason why not.
