So I'm out doing a basic tune on my truck. It just needed a little timing and carburetor adjustment so I figured I'd break out the tools on a decent afternoon.

As I'm going to put everything back together, I notice the vacuum hose going to the vacuum ball is split right at where it connects to the T off the manifold. Having been around the block a few times, I go over to my pile of hose, find a good replacement length and put it right in.

Wouldn't you know it, now my heater/defroster selector is working.

I love it when the problem is with the easiest part to replace. :thumbsup:

I just had to buy a new vacuum ball. Mine had holes all over it.

Nice. Mine seems to be intact for now.

I took it for a spin and I think I pretty well nailed the tune. It idles so much better even though it wasn't half bad. The only real problem right now is the exhaust leak I have to track down.
