View Full Version : 1406 on 73 J10 vs. stock 2bbl
Just wondering what the 1406 edelbrock preformer will get me with the manifold if I have no other mods to the engine? Oh yeah. 360 cid.
Thanks

I love my 1406. For hiway its WAY better then my old 4350 ever was. Offroad I have been on some steep angles and it hasent studdered yet. Throttle responce is better with the performer intake compaired to the stock 4v intake I had. To me it was worth the money.

I have a 1407 (750 CFM) and Edelbrock Performer on my 360 and love it! Like Stuka says, much better throttle response. BTW Tex, if you have a J10, it has to be a 74 or newer. I saw your sig says it's a 73 J10.
Do you mean it has to be 74 for the manifold to work on it? Or do you mean that the J10 wasn't made in 73?
Thanks

Before '74 the trucks had the thousand designations. ie: J-4000, J4500, J2000, etc. From '74 and up they were J-10s and 20s. I can see it being possible though that you got a late model year '73 and that it could be a J-10. AMC has been known to do stranger things.

yep it's a DEC. 1973 J10. Thats what the vin tag reads anyway.
Thanks
