i wanted to ask what would be the best possible solution for a good, fast tranny overhaul.
i had some small metal slivers in my pan this afternoon. there was the usual metal put this was a bit bigger than i figure it should. the tranny shifts alright but i know it could be better. sooner or later some work will need to be done. what would be the down time if the shop should have to go in and replace the clutch plates and do some small work?
should i get a known good 727 and try to get it cheap. then take it to the shop and have them tear it into that and see what they can do. between me and my g/f there is my car only. whatever i need to do it would have to be cost efficient and as few days with me not having my car as possible. i am hesitant to take on the repair myself due to time but would condsider the installation. thanks for any input
