I remember going to that back in 90 or 91, it was at the original spot at foster reservior, I had a 72 4x4 elcamino with 35's and a big block, it was pretty fun. Sweet home is south of portland by a couple of hours.

I get kick that they are charging $33 admission to drive on an empty lake bed - give me a break!

It's on private property now. Not on the lake anymore. Crazy expensive though. I spoiled myself & bought some tickets. Ticketmaster is a complete ripoff. $125 for 3 tickets. All I know is it better be worth it & not too bad a traffic jam getting in there or theres gonna be some ticked off wheelers.

I used to belong to the host club way back in another life (76 to around 78/79) Worked the original site up until around 90 or so - The year it was so cold the mud was freezing tight in about 15 minutes:eek:

Then you obviously dont get it....
You're probably one of the ones that wheel wherever you want, thereby ruining it for all of us.

No need to be an a**. I don't wheel where ever I want and I thought it was still held on public ground. Where do you get off assuming anything about me.

I guess it goes with your Henry Rollins quote...if you assume anything, assume everything even if you don't know anything.

Thoes were good times...I used to belong to the host club way back in another life (76 to around 78/79) Worked the original site up until around 90 or so - The year it was so cold the mud was freezing tight in about 15 minutes:eek:

Had a short box nissan hard body that year, Spent about twenty minutes yanking on a cruiser wagon and dancing on the end of a strap each time I hit it before I broke him out of the frozen stuff. Way back in the mid 70's they used to sell a lunch size bag of fritos, cut down the side and a ladle of chili poured on it, Good stuff when you were wet and cold:p

This one is the fundraiser for the club and their projects for the year. They lost the lakebed due to concerns by the Corp of Engineers for posible contamination by fuel and oil. Never happened, but it's a fish area, so.......

Then they got hit with the mass gathering ordinance and the permit, so the price had to go up somewhat.

Go to www.pnw4wda.org and get hold of SANTIAM 4x4 (they have a blurb on the 2010 event in either annual event or upcoming event page on their forum). They can give the dates for next year if set yet. Usually in Feb or early Mar., IIRC
