in true Jeep utilitarian inspiration I came up with this .....

I think it would look good on the front and rear. It would give a place to step up to the luggage rack with out dropping the gate. :thumbsup:

It is designed to be either front or rear.
Front: winch plate
Rear: step
function over form.
Nice clean useful design w/o the wannabe poseur factor.

..and there is no way to mount an 8274 with that winch plate. ;)
Looks good! I especially like how you lowered the winch mount to minimize
air flow obstruction through the radiator.

If you are planning on running anything over 12,000Lb you need to have two mounting faces (a front). That design would be fine for the 9000Lb types
