vacuum advace part number??

Has any one replaced the vacuum advance on there late model GW. I have gone to every parts store in town and have had no luck. No one has them listed. The list a replacement distributor but no advance.

i had the same thing happen i figured if the vac adv was shot that the bushing in the dist were just as old so i just bought the rebuilt dist and quit wondering if it was going to last

i remember this comimg up before. i think the vacuum advance was hard to find but the distributor was just as much to buy rebuilt. i got my NAPA rebuilt and it was ok after the core. i think this is the easier way to get it cheaper.

yep, can't get it. go to NAPA and get a whole new distributor. only about $50

The advance is available. It has been awhile but I had the same problem on my 87. I searched around and found a suppier on the internet (sorry don't remember who it was) but it was around $45. I went and got a rebuilt distributor at Pep boys and it cost me about $55. Go with the rebuilt distributor. That way you also get the magnetic trigger in the rebuild. JMHO
