Hey all,

Due to some sudden unforseen expenses I may have to sell my 78 J10. It's no beauty queen and was only meant to be my plow truck/work truck. Here's the details

258 engine
new Carter 2BBl carb
T-176 4 spd
Dana 44's front and rear unknown ratio
just under 40,000 miles

Frame - pretty solid but should probably have new rear shackles installed sometime in the future.
Body - Not bad but there was some rust. The floor has been patched and it has some half assed patches just tack welded over the holes in a few places and painted with Kubota Orange Tractor paint. No box but I have a rusty but usable one to go with it. Good floor in it and side walls don't move when you shake them.

Included is a meyer plow complete with mounting brackets and controls
A second J 10 No title. Not much left other than the frame, front and rear axle assemblies. transmission and transfer case. Drivers side drop. Cab is there but stripped to the bone and fairly rusty, rusty front fenders and usable core support. Was a 360/auto truck. Also have the dash frame with pad, some miscellaneous windshield trim, some dash cluster parts, engine and dash wiring harnesses, and some other stuff I stripped off from it I can't think of right now. If I sell I want to get rid of it all.

I know without pics or inspecting the stuff in person it's hard to say but I am just looking for opinions here. I don't really want to sell but I might have to. Don't be shy....give it to me straight. The truck is located near Cadillac, MI Thanks in advance for any help on this!

Hope you can keep it.

It sounds like a decent truck. Without seeing some images or being in the neighborhood, I might be curious about a 30 something year old Jtruck with working plow with some spare parts for sale at $2500.

It is in my sig pic...well at least the front of it is. I can tell you it is not worth $2,500 though at least I don't think it is. The plow needs mounted, the bed needs mounted. you get the idea it is an unfinished project. According to the guy I bought it from the engine only has a couple thousand miles on a rebuild.

Well I suggest mounting the plow and bed to increase the value or at least do what you can. And go from there.
