Lots of choices, some take it more serious than others....

What are your top pick's for spray bomb tech?

One of my favorites is Dupicolor's Bed Liner spray bombs, it's a very poor bedliner or even floor liner.......but as a bumper cover spray, or similiar application.....it's freak'in great.....low gloss, textured and easy recoat makes it a winner!

More to follow on my end, but what works best for you?

I used the Dupli-Color spray on an ATV rack...and so far so good.

I also used their roll-on kit for the bed of my Chevy...BEFORE I read any of the reviews...but my truck has a cap on the back and I was just wanting to cover up the bed scratches (bought the truck used)...so far, so good on that as well.

Triumph.

Its the ultimate rust converter/primer.

Water soluable until it cures (like 1 hour) then you can't get it off with a needle scaler.

Sorry. .pdf is all I could find...

Spray Bomb: (although I prefer the brush-on for most things)

We use it at work in the locomotive coal bins. Highly acidic/impact area and it lasts 2-3 years per coat.

Goooood Cracker.

The 1 gallon tub of Triumph is around $90.

However!

I have painted about 800 sq ft with 1 gallon.

That's a lot of rusty metal...

I cannot remember off the top of my head how much the bombs are.

Here is the catalog sheet for the tubs:

TRIUMPH, I never heard of that.......does it turn the rust black/purple like most other converters?

Nope, its converter and primer in one shot, so it always looks like orangy primer.

Thanks for the triumph over rust.

As for rattle can paint.... with all the regulation, some brands are better than others. I have not been impressed with duplicolor, on the other hand the plasti-Kote paint has been a bit better after a year in the sun while the duplicolor that I have on letank is fading too rapidly.

My next step is metal garage door paint, it come in quart ($15) to gallon size ($30) it is oil base, comes in gloss, semi-gloss or flat and can be sprayed or rolled.... very effective for trail rash. Testing in progress.

Plasticoat bedliner in the red can is alot better than Duplicolor, I agree hands down......but it's been very hard to find lately.

This is also great on bare steel:

Anyone know of a good Military Grade paint in "WWII Olive Drab" that I can buy in gallons?
Did a little searching: http://www.armyjeepparts.com/ They sell 4 gallons for $112!

Do you have a source for that stuff? Can't find anything on-line.
Thanks

That's great for the MSDS...doesn't do much good for purchasing it, though. I too would be interested in some, though nothing near so much as a gallon.
