tune up trouble

i am having problems getting the beast tuned up and in good running order. i time it in to 8* BTDC in drive. but it still seems to be missing, i have checked all the spark plugs for proper gap and all the wires are brand new.....any ideas?

Sounds crazy but it could be your resistor wire, in their final stages of heading south driveability wil be very poor. Did you ever have the problem of starting it and it stalls instantly? That is the begining of res wire issues.

Have your ignition module checked.

New Spark Plug wires! I just rebuilt my carb, rewired my dist and coils..in the end to find out my brand new wires had 2 bad ones in the mix...New doesn't always meen good.
