First off thanks to all the members here that I have gleaned tons of knowledge off of, you've been a huge help saving me alot of money & untold hours using the search to diagnos problems! I have been lurking & learning for quite a while now.
I have come across an old J truck that would be a good fixer or parts truck for my 84 waggy. The owner is not too sure of what he has. Says it's a 60's J300 with no engine but its a manual with a sbc chevy bellhousing. Just wondering if it had the buick 350? Did it have the same bolt pattern as the sbc or not? Or is it something some one just swapped a sbc into?
Looks pretty decent from the 1 pic. I'll see if I can figure out how to post it. May need help there! It's snowed in & 200 miles away may be spring before I can get to it.
Thanks again any info will be appreciated!
Welcome aboard. That truck is too nice to be used for parts.

The rhino grill and pie plates would make it worth you picking it up. Rhino grills can bring some good cash.

From looking at the pic I would have to agree and that is a recurring problem for me I buy them for the parts but can't ever seem to cut them up!

Ther wouldn't be very many parts that would interchange with your trucks, but don't let that stop you we have to save everyone we can! they're getting to be like Spotted Owls, 'cept they don't taste as good.
Please tell your son his service is greatly appreciated and admired.

Is that a Plymouth Fury behind the truck? The top looks like a 60's Mopar. Sorry, I got the old iron bug. Doesn't matter what it is, if it's old I'm interested.

Welcome from Colorado! :fsj:
The car in the back ground looks more like a Matador or Ambassador, early 70s.

Yea I did alot of research last night & I was afraid it was gonna be that way. I'm waiting on a pic of the bellhousing, the vin, and a list of all his other iron he wants gone. So if he says sbc bellhouse I hope he's right then it would not be so bad! Heres a few more pics of some of the rides listed below!
