I picked up a bunch of parts for a TFI job, and among them are Accel's "Universal" spark plug wires. Would have to cut them down and hammer the boots on. Not sure I want to do that-yes, feeling a little lazy lately:D

Is there any reason a set 8mm wires originally intended for the same Ford's the plugs and dist. cap came from wouldnt work? It looks like I could even save a few bucks in the process going that route.

I personally LIKE the DIY plug wires. With the DIY kits, I can cut the wires to the EXACT length I need. MSD's Streetfire line has a compatible series. You'll have to ask for it, because they will likely want to sell you the MSD wires instead.

you could use some intended for a '88 Ford 460 (EFI) or use MSD Super Conductor Spark Plug Wires part #35859 (which fit absolutely perfect)

DO NOT get 90 degree plug boots, either get strait or 45 degree....or you will burn them up!

I am running the ACCEL 4070K's
I like them, and it is not so hard cutting the wires, and putting on the connectors, and boots.

If you are worried about cutting them, just lay out your old wires, cut them to that size plus some extra. Then if they are a little to long, and you want to clean it up a bit later, NAPA sells (as well as other parts stores) the 8mm connectors. You can shorten them up with that.
