Couldn't believe it when I looked at my BJ's receipt and I bought this stuff over a year ago!!!! I guess having 3 girls under 4 keeps me busy.....
Anyway I'm finally working on it again and have some quick progress pix. BEFORE:

It looked better before, now it looks like it's shooting for the starts :p
Are you going to be able to back it out of the garage when you lift the rear?
Mine doesn't fit with the lift and the big tires, I have it on 235/75/15 now to keep it inside.

Nice rig. I've always like that style southwestern decal on em.
What size tires were on it it before? Was it lifted at all before?

It was bone stock suspension before. Flat springs with 30's on it. Now it has 6" lift & 36" Swamper TSL's on it - well on the front anyway. This is more lift & tire than I've ever had on a Jeep and I'm curious to see how I like it. As long as the center of gravity isn't too high I think it will be good for our trails out here.
It isn't as tall as the photo makes it seem. I was kneeling down when I took it. There is plenty of clearance on the garage door. I'm hoping to finish up the rear within the next few days. I'm crossing my fingers the infamous "gas tank bolt" comes out nicely!

Looks awesome. It would suck though if you put the lift on the rear and then could'nt get it out of the garage.

like that never happened to anyone :banghead:
Babyjeep SOA + 2" on 37. = a little bit to much for a "dutch" garage
Nice Jeep by the way :D are you planning on changing ring and pinion for the 36" ??

Excellent question - I'm sure I will re-gear at some point but I would *love* to wait until I can afford lockers. I want to see how anemic it is with the 3.54's. I ran my CJ for years with 2.73 but I had a T-18 + D300 to keep the low range low enough even with the tall gears. This one has TH400 + QT so I'm not so sure. But I'll run it a bit and just see how it is. :drivin:

I really like the new lift, tire's and wheels....doesn't looklike you will need those old, used aluminum wheels any more ?????? Right????

You might want to check that QT out for chain slack and a fluid change if has been a while since it was done. That is a very nice looking rig to start with. The lift and tires will make it much more capable. A lunch box locker in the back will surprise you on where you can go.

I thought the conventional wisdom was to not put a locker in a Quadratrack rig?
SnowShoe

You can put lockers on a QT jeep as long as it has a Mile Marker kit in it, but NOT without the MM.

Uh oh - let's not hijack this thread with the locker vs QT conversation. You can use lockers with a full time QT - do some searching and you'll find *lots* of info.
I have no interested in converting to part time. I've had a lot of part time rigs and want to explore the benefits of full time with this one.

Oh yea...Not hijacking your thread....Just trying to save some one from blowing a QT case, these things are hard enough to find in dependable condition. I have had only Quadra Tracks...I would never lock it unless I wanted to blow it up. I've performed plenty of research on the matter...and a MM IS required if your going to lock up. Your wecome to verifiy the results with Flint. Oh, and it doesn't hurt to talk to a couple of old Borg Warner engineers also...Just try'in to help!!!!

Well I finally finished up the lift. Now just need to get the exhaust finished so I can go get plates. Of course in the meantime CO has changed its Collector plate laws and I no longer meet the requirements. So now instead of once for life I have to smog every other year :banghead:

nice looking; a little tall for my personal taste though. Sucks that CO has caught up to Cali in the Smog-monster zone.

Yes I do and the list of planned repairs/improvements is long. But I'm plugging away at it. I need to get tags on it so I can drive it further than the end of the street and figure out what it really needs!
