Well I really found a beauty today. Cab and frame only big diamond plate flat bed well made but leaving. Cab is completely solid, shows 37 K for miles and I think it may be original. Problem No Vin Tags anywhere on truck, no badges anywhere on truck. It is a Gladiator but I can't figure the year, Snow plow mount on front of truck so that is why I think its original mileage. Tornado 6, 3 speed on the tree. Can anyone help me with ID'ing this truck. I'm going to try and add photos here but if they dont work I guess we'll just have to forget the whole "help me out deal". It looks like there has been a new rearend installed and can't tell what it is. Any info <img src="http://i885.photobucket.com/albums/ac54/jplug2007/mynewtruck023-1<img src="http://i885.photobucket.com/albums/ac54/jplug2007/mynewtruck022.jpg"><img <img src="http://i885.">src (http://i885.photobucket.com/albums/ac54/jplug2007/mynewtruck023-1<img src=)

I doubt any of them worked so until I get it figured out it will have to wait like most things I have going on

Hey JPlug, nice find you've got there!!! Dash Cluster + Rhino grill + smaller rear window, the cab looks a lot like my '64. I'm about 20 minutes from Upstate NY, how far north upstate are ya?

Chuck,
How ya doin?
I live in Oswego, NY over by Syracuse but I have a camp at Saranac Lake. I get over to Plattsburgh quite a bit, Sure wish I was gonna figure out how to ID truck, no dash or firewall vin tags and no paperwork. This is my first truck, I have always restored CJ's and snowmobiles, Always wanted a Kaiser to restore but salt on NY State roads makes finding a good one very difficult.

Welcome to the madness from SW CO! :thumbsup: The skin on that cab looks pretty good from the pix. Most 40 year old trucks are long gone to salt over that way. Yeah, from the dash instruments in your Gladiator, I would think 63 or 64?

Nice looking truck. As said above use the img code, like this;

Take out the spaces inside the brackets, though.

Hey Curt, good to hear from somebody else relatively local!!! I'm also about 50-60 minutes from Plattsburgh, and I know exactly where Oswego is!!! Like somebody else said, I'm gonna say 63-64 based on the rear window and dash setup. When the weather warms up, lmk if youre back up here around the Clinton County area!

Nice find. The ID plate (vin tag) should be on the driver side door frame. Nice looking CJ in your album.

But the cross-over 4x4 shifter and column shift are anathema to me. But then mine came with a 327 so?:huh:

I found this Willy's for Sale on a side road. Woman had done a "resto" on it.
Ran great body rock solid. Bought it on the spot for 3K. I was like a kid who learned how to pee in the toilet, drivin it up and down my road. Well someone spotted me and pulled me over. They checked out the truck and offered me 6.5K right there. Sooooo, I had it 1 or 2 days. I wish I had never sold it even for that profit. I had always wanted one and in Upstate NY everything gets salted like crackers. This had been in barn forever 36 K or so original miles. You see lots of brown out behind the barns that used to be Willy's p/u but not like this one. To this day I still kick myself in the butt everytime I see one. The blue CJ you see in my pics is a 71 5 with a V-6 my first resto besides snowmobiles. Frame off rebuilt to totally stock, factory option T-18 and the optional sun visor package!!!!. It is avaiable to trade for a real nice p/u, Jeep of course. No bondo or filler ALL metal. All new Dauntless. I have an 98 TJ built to the aces for offroad play but am really into FSJ's now.
