Ok i need to go over this again... i have a 76 j10 and it is bone stock and i want to SOA the front but on the rear i would have to put in blocks to level it right? well my question is instead of blocks and high dollar lift springs is there any other springs that work off of any other truck like a chevy truck or a dodge or anything??? or if anybodys got some springs for sale! see mine on the truck are completely strait as in no arch at all... thanks for any help.

look at bjs....they have a shackle flip kit....bolt in...gives you the same lift for the rear....or with a welder can do like i did and build one....really easy

go with the shackle flip in the rear. It puts the shackles below the mounting box instead of above it.....that gives you a comparable lift as the SOA up front will.

In that link that explains shackle fliping the first pic looks different than mine... i know his is flipped and mines not but his is directly under the frame. mine comes off the side of the frame so i couldnt put it directly under it right? would i jus have to fab up some mounts to come off the side?

That's not under the frame, it's under the hanger.
Looking at your profile you list your rig as a '76.
IIRC '76 is the first year of the box type hangers on the rear of the JTrucks as oppossed to the post mount style.

Does your rear suspension mount on posts coming off the frame?
Like this?

If it does look like that I'd be willing to bet that what you have is a late '75 build date titled as a '76, it happens a lot.

I have a post mount also, more than one way to skin a cat :D

You can also do generic hangers under the frame, it nets a bit more lift than a kit but it works.

do you just hack it off and flip it over? is there anything else to do?

easier to go buy a chunk of square tubing 1/4 wall cut one side out of it...drill a whole and weld it on to the bottom of what you have
