I've got a good T18/Dana 20 combo from a 70's model J10 that had the 360. It's complete with the bellhousing, bellhousing adapter, T/C shifter linkage etc..
Does'nt seem like there's too much demand for these lately but wanted to get other opinions. I may want to sell it.
Thanks

A CJ owner might want it. The long stickout is a problem, but it can be dealt with. You'd have to put a couple hundred into it to use it in a CJ, but it's do-able.

Shipping/distance is the main issue. Otherwise it's a desirable thing.

Pretty sure someone was looking for a T18 here recently.

I am looking for one...close to me :P that's always the problem

If its in usable condition anywhere tween 200 and 400 would be fair, depending on whether stuff needs attention to being somewhere near reconditioned recently, imo. The rule of thumb seems to be D20s turn into potential grenades when running heavy meats over 33", and that's considered smallish these days. Also they really arent geared that low for use with stockish gears and big tires. Takes about 900 bux in parts+a full teardown and rebuild to make them really low range and bulletproof.

that said, I'm going to run my 40 year old one with big tires, 3/4 ton running gear, and a heavy foot till it blows up, and go from there :P

I disagree Ryan... My D20 has seen some decent abuse and even though I am on my second one... (from Tim "JPX" on here) both are from '74's and my first one ONLY failed because it wasn't properly secured to the T18. I wheeled the snot out of it with 3 out of 5 bolts holding it on (one casting flange was already broke and I used an oversize washer to get "some" hold out of it) with my 38" TSL's. When I rolled Brutus on it's top was when the final casting flange broke. I STILL DROVE IT after the roll for a ways until the D20 completely fell off the output gear of the T18. It did ANYTHING but give up! Looking inside the case afterwords and everything looked to be in tip top shape.

Go back to the Moab video thread and watch my sleeping bag video again and tell me that I babied that D20. Keep in mind that video was my original 30+ year old D20 with 3 out of 5 bolts holding it on.

I have a FSJ junkyard here pretty close if you ever need parts let me know and I will deliver them to you in Ouray or Moab. Here is their website (http://www.4x4offroadnetwork.com/). Give them a call and if they have what you need let me know and I will pick it up for you and let you know condition or whatnot. This is the same place I bought a Jtruck brow'd replacement cab for $100 and a set of manual doors for $50 each.

If Brutus had a QT, it probably would have spilled it's guts on that one where the sleeping bag flew out.

I'm with BRUTUS on this one. The D20 doesn't deserve the rep it seems to have been saddled with.

It was in use by ALL of the major auto makers and for good reason. Cast iron, gear driven and in recent years has gained ground in the after market.

I have beaten and abused a few of them.

That setup is exactly what I have in my CJ5. I don't want to tell anyone what I paid for it ( I didn't know better, at the time...):o , and what it cost me to adapt it to the CJ.

But, it's in there now, with a twin stick set-up, and is great!

I recently sold my t-18/d20 combo from my '78 J10 for $350. The second gear wasn't working on the t-18 when I sold it and I told the buyer.

You guys have more experience with em than I do! That was sort of a 'from what I've gleaned over the past few years' keeping an eye on them. My 68' vintage one won't get quite the beating you guys gave yours, lol, hope it holds together for another 40 years.
