Good to have you. I am just about finished with my rebuild on a 66' Gladiator with all the same specs. Here's a link to my build. Hope it helps.

Be careful if that rear axle is a D53 or it has 12" brake drums! Both drums and the wheel bearings are unobtainium!

Thanks for the welcome guys, and the bits of info so far. I have a bunch of questions but will wait till I get the jeep home, it may answer some questions by its self. I have 3 pics of it from the ad, ill post tonight when I get to my computer.

Yah he has the fender, he says its beat up. I work with a guy who used to do body work, he says if its salvagable he will fix it for me.

Sunday is going to be a loooooong day. My neighbor and I are leaving at 4am to go to portland and pick up a F350 4x4 diesel for $600. Dana 60 front, 70 rear, 6.9liter diesel, new 5speed.
Then back home, unload the F350 turn around and go back to portland to pick up my gladiator and bring it home.
The F350 drivetrain is going into his white 98XJ and his axles, AX15 and 231 will go in my XJ.

I've been watching that CL posting for awhile trying to get the scratch saved up for it! Glad to see it went to someone who'll take good care of it. Welcome to the world of IFSJA. I am almost finished with my 66 Gladiator and it won't be long till I'm wheeling TSF. Let me know if you plan any runs up this way. I have a good shop and am Located about 20 miles down the road from Browns Camp in Banks. Always willing to help out if you need it.

Not yet but I hear there is great rock crawling on the plateau side of Oregon. The closest I have made it is Across the river from Cascade locks. Went to a Subaru show there and wheeled some power line trails....it was great. I dont know if its still available but....http://portland.craigslist.org/clk/cto/1557980409.html
Isn't Castle rock out your way?
