Air in my 91wag would work sporaticly. When it worked, it would freez you knee caps off now it just doesnt. There has been a R134a retro done in 99, so sais the sticker. When I run the a/c, there are no bubles moving through the sight glass. I put my 134 guage on the low preasure side, it reads low, when I give it a squirt, it emediatly goes high. Unplug the guage, plug it back in, and it reads low again. What gives? Its getting hot here in South Carolina.

anyone know where, and how much I can expect to pay for a new, or rebuilt compressor?

$100-150. for a rebuilt unit from most parts stores. As far as your gauge reading high when you put in some 134a, it sounds like your fitting is not allowing the refrigerant into your system.

does your compressor have the valve you have to open with a 1/4 wrench (york)?????

well its got a quick connect, and one you use a wrench with. For some reason the quick connect will not hook up.

Are you sure you have the 134 conversion? you should have an adapter that was added to the compressor valve for the 134....

If it's not building pressure... it could be the expansion valve.... maybe
