Ok...some of you may remeber the t-case that I questioned about some time back that came out of a IH pickup. Well....I finally got around to getting the numbers off the case. Many of you thought it may be a NP205...but from what I can tell it isnt..since it looks nothing like one ;p

Here are the numbers:

Casing: (in same order)

10X11
A1
C-94361

Output Casing: (tail shaft housing area)

C-94379

Output: (on the outer rim of the tailshaft)

C91551

Any help would be great....as far as i know it came out of a late 60's IH truck, its devorced, 2:1 low range, twin shifter rails....mounted on on top of the other..must be in 4wd to get into low range. Cast iron, gear drive....VERY heavy and big....i cant lift it....its gota be around or over 200 pounds.

Sounds like a D20...neighbors got a 76 IH with a D20 stock

Can't be a D20, not with the twin shifter that has one right over the other. The twin stick that came on the D20 was side by side. Also I am pretty sure he can lift a D20. I will ask my friend that is into scouts when I get to work.

a d20 also does not weigh anywhere near 200 lbs!

is it possible for it to be a 203? a 203 defiately meets the weight specs...

You should check out this site:

IH Transmissions and T-Cases (http://pacific.telebyte.com/allanw/binder/info/tranny.html#xcase)

He lists the Transmissions and T-Cases available in the Pickups and Scouts.

Its devorced as well remember. And it has no "DANA" diamond casting on it.

It could be an NP200 or NP201, both of which I believe came in divorced format. I think IH even used a Rockwell transfer case. Sounds like it might be a good candidate for a high-hp mud-runner, but not much use on a Jeep like ours.

well this isnt for my jeep. Its for my uncles truck..which while it is modified..it doesnt need this size t-case...but he wanted a big unbreakable case..and well..this is it if i have ever seen one. I will have pictures of it this weekend to post...so you guys can see it.

A 203 is a chain drive case not gear drive. I can't remember ever seeing a divorced 203 either. I'd guess it's a 200, 201, 205.
