What type of lift would you recomend for a 1990 GW. I would like approx. 3-4 inches of lift. What size tire will work on this without contact during articulation. With this size of lift does the transfer case linkage/ assembly need to be adjusted/ lowered? (Would I have a Quadra-trac or 229 t/c) I am looking to keep the great ride I currently have.
Please advise

Thanks

David

I f you want to keep the kush ride.. go with the 4" Skyjacker Softride suspension system (all 4 springs) and 31x10.50's on 15x8" rims and you'll be fine with no rubbing.

The only other thing you need would be shocks, stabilizer and 4" drop pitman arm. No other mods necessary.

This lift is the most costly for our FSJ's... I paid $1104 for the system, shocks, stabilizer and DPO in Feb 99. ...BUT it is worth every penny with the Kush ride and massive tweak.

I'm using Rough Country's 3" spring (F&R) kit. It works well. I'm happy with it. It is not terribly flexxy... but my trackbar, shocks or brakelines could be the culprit there.

I lifted my 88 Wag last year with 4" BDS springs, i run 33-12.50's for tires. the ride is kind of harsh, but it flexes really well, and i can tow a 3/4 ton pickup on a heavy homemade trailer without bottoming out anything. if you run 33's they WILL rub on the trail, to the point that they limit flex, so 31's may be a better call, depending on hoe much wheeling you do.

And you more than likely have an NP229 Selectrac.
