Ram Steering Question

I recently added Ram assist steering to my GW, but it is a little sluggish on the trail and road. I have heard that you can drill out the flow contol to about twice the size as original to push both the ram and the steering box.

Are they talking about the valve in the back of the power steering pump or is it in the steering box?
