Hello to all...just wanted to chime in, since it's been years since I've been on this forum. It's really great to see that it's still up and running!
I still have my 83 J-10 and finally after being stationed in California (retired Air Force now), then Turkey...then North Dakota, I'm finally living in smog-test-free Southern Illinois...now after all these years, I can put my 4bbl intake and carb + headers on...haha...

Thanks to all.
Yes, it has been a long time. I stuck my Jeep in my Dad's barn when I went to Turkey...then I came back and was stationed in North Dakota. Work, deployments, kids, etc...kept it in storage until now.
I'm glad to be back!!!

You're very welcome...and thank you for your service as well!
It's weird...I spent 21 years, 13 days in the Air Force...and at times I thought it would never end...now its as though I blinked and poof...here I am...haha.

I live in Belleville...I'm like 15 minutes away from St Louis.
I haven't really seen many FSJ's around here...I'm sorta worried about the salt they use during the winter time here. My Jeep is still at my Dad's in Oklahoma right now...
A little interesting background about my J10. My great uncle, the most died-in-the-wool-jeep-guy I've ever known, bought a brand new 1967 Jeep pickup then drove it until he traded it for this 83' model. He passed away in 90' and my Dad got it. He used it as a farm truck for a while, then gave it to me in 94'. It's always been in the family...

Great looking truck!

If you like rust free Jeeps, then leave it parked for the winter. Salt will eat a J truck bed in no time.

Yes, I do remember my great uncles' 67...we used to haul fertilizer in it also and it was about rotted off of the frame when he traded it...
I don't plan on mine being a daily driver, so yes, It's gonna be a garage queen in the wintertime.
