The rear doors on my 87 GW are behaving like there are child proof lockouts on the door handles, but I do not see any evidince of this sort of device. Any idea why they will not open from inside??

What happens on those doors when the power lock switch is activated? Probably what is happening is either the solenoids for those locks are weak or more likely the mechanisms (rods, hinges, etc) are binding. This won't allow the lock to fully disengage. If you manually pull up on the lock will the door open? If so the lock mechanism needs to be cleaned and lubed. If you still can't open the door then something is out of adjustment with either the lock or the door handle (bent rods or weak/broken latch).

The position of the lock and the use of the power activator makes no difference. I guess I will tear it apart when the weather warms up.
Thanks
