Off-road park petition *PLEASE SIGN*

Hello all,

The prius driving tree huggers are at it again. They are trying to close the off-road park near me because of "environmental hazards", when there is a lab weapons testing site across the road. There is an online petition you can sign to help keep it open.

Go to www.carnagieforever.org

Check the box where it says "register as a petitioner"
This will open up a box underneath that will let you put in your info.

Even if your from out of state or never heard of carnagie before, please help us keep it open.

signed. Also, you can go to wikipedia and quickly get a list of cities / counties that are nearby.

I just wonder why these parks don't join up with local engineers and land planners to design a park that employes BMP's and methods to keep run-off from increasing sediment to local streams and rivers. If they'd do that, the PEER & fishing folks wouldn't have a leg to stand on to close the parks. Much like a 100+ acre construction site has to put up erosion & sediment control devices and have them cleaned / monitored, an off-road park could do the same thing and keep from having these issues. Seems simple to me.

Thanks for the signatures guys. Sorry about the bad link, I never claimed to be a spelling be champ. I'm crossing my fingers right now. My neighbor and I wend door to door with the paper petitions and got 500+ signed. I'm hoping it will help.

Thanks guys! I just want you all to know that we had enough petitions signed that the judge granted an appeal and Carnagie is still open. From what I hear, there some amazing lawyers working our side of the case who think they can win it. Plus they had a record turn out of people showing up the day it was supposed to close. Hopefully California will see the amount of money that the park brings in and have enough sense see that there is no real environmental reason to close it except for pissed off treehuggers that want to take our hobbies away.

Thanks to everybody, we have saved Carnagie for now. Lets hope for the best in the appeals court.
