Just out of curiosity, does anybody out there know what some of the different driveshaft lengths are between FSJ's (ie between selec trac wags/cheros, quadratrac fsj's, short/longbed pickups etc).

After lifts etc. My rear driveshaft is telescoped pretty far out and I am looking to see if there are other driveshafts that are a little longer I could just bolt in.

Thanks,
Adam

I got my front DS out of an 84 Wag. It was roughly 2" longer than the stock one out of my 79. Was a direct bolt in and quite a bit larger in diameter. As for the rear, I'm still looking, although it doesn't seem to be as big of an issue.

My front drive shaft's working length is 27.25in long and my rear is 44in long. This is after Rusty's six in lift and another 1.5 due to revolver shackles. So I guess it is more like 7 to 7.5 inch lift. My t-case angle was 23 degrees on the front drive shaft so I ordered a 40 degree operable CV driveshaft. I have no idea if this is even helpful knowledge but here it is.

How long do you need to go, Adam. My rear shaft is about 55", as it sits in the truck. I've got a T-15/D20, which also makes my front driveshaft 20.5" long as it sits in the truck.

My driveshaft will be available, if you need it, but not sure when, at the moment.

The Q-trac/TH400 rear shaft is roughly 5 inches longer than the shaft for the 727/229. I used one for a 208 conversion and it fit perfect.
