fixing to overhaul my first QT,all bearings,seals, chain,etc.any tricks would be appreciated.[big sockets,etc.]also,big bearing in the case extension for the trans. output shaft,do you just pack with grease? Marc :rolleyes:

Hey Banks, Veepster just did one (complete) new needles and the milemarker part time kit, he can tell you anything that you need to know! I emailed him and was asking about the part time kit because you can't buy new parts for the cones anymore so I was thinking when I rebuild the QT, that might be the way to go. He said it eliminated a lot of the vibration that is kind of standard in the QT models. M.G.

I have been studying the TSM since I have to get in there soon. The case itself is not so complicated, I'm bet you've seen the exploded diagrams at parts sites. The bearings should be easy enough to get out/in if you are creative with big sockets, pipe, etc. Also you can get a cheap bearing driver kit for $50 or so...
If you look at RiverBeast's site he has some good pics of the differential...
