I'm looking for help from you folks here. I need a tow rig and something more family freindly......

I have a 76 wagoneer that's not in bad shape, 401, Auto, Q-track. it;s old leaks oil, part time only beacuse the vacum lines are all jacked.

some of my biggest pives are the exaust leak that I keep having to fix and the smell inside of the cab.

The oil leaks that manage to come back to life.
The on going suprise problem I manage to find as I'm driving to work.
The need to up gread everything I see (this is a gearal gear head problem).
The need to find out how to get good seat belts for the wife and family.

So, I'm thinking of selling the old waggy and my j-10 parts truck and get one the following:

Ford Bronco (F350) Centurion or GM tubo diesel Suburban.

I feel that these will have a lot of the stuff I' looking for as well as keep me from having to deal with smogging this thing everyother year.

let me know your thoughts

Dude, do whats right to make your life and family better. you need something reliable to survive. Down the road you can always get another project jeep. Best of luck.

if you want to get rid of the jeep. pick up that centurion. So you can still have something unique

California has no snow or does they have snow where you are?

That being said, what are you waiting for? If you want to sell it, go ahead and sell it.

I seriously doubt you have lost the love. You have just reached that point that most fathers eventually reach (and fear). Find something to suit your family needs. You'll be back later. The clasifieds forum is full of guys like you, so you know where to look first when the time is right.

i thought that you were going to make a crew cab out of them.:D
but if you need to sell then for the family confort,by all means then do so.
we needed a truck for camping so i decided to make my crewcab.the boys got tired of dog slober down their backs in the wag.my project would have been done by now if it was'nt for my peg leg.other than that it's not that hard to make one.
in any case what ever you decide, good luck with your decission hope all works out.

thanks all.

I just need a better tow rig, since I don't see myself wheeling it much. I use it as a Daily Driver 44 round trip. So. other than the gremlins that keep poping up. I like the waggy.

As for the crew cab..... both are '76 so I still get stuck with the smog problem.

I'll am going to start to look this Feb when my cash is in better shap.
