it turns out that the rig im currently working on was originally a nt.when the po replaced the quarters and fenders with the fiberglass ones they had the big wt flairs alredy on them.that explains the super narrow axles that were under it as i bought it.look at the pic.
what other differences are there?the steering wheel seems to be different and there isnt a grab handle on the pass side dash.
i dont care bout cosmetic things but is the frame the same?anything else i should know about?
it a 76 cherokee and ive already put a chevy 502 t-400 np205 combo in it.im just waiting for my friend to finish trussing the corp 14 bolt for the rear then i can put the front 60 in from under the front of my rig now. http://us.f1.yahoofs.com/users/a99b8889/bc/FSJ/P3080022.jpg?bc8_Rg9AO7blXB57

Yeah, Mark, from what I've seen it's just axles, and flairs that differ. :D

Yes Frames are the same. The Axles and outer tie rod ends are all that differ. ;)

As C_J said it's just the axles and related parts. Steering wheels etc is just dependant on what trim pack was ordered...plano, S, Chief, Laredo etc.

It looks like the old pics of Bigfoot when they put street tires on it. It definately looks out of place. Like a bodybuilder with a small head.

Looks like an ant carrying a very large leaf!

Mark, I dont want it to seem like Im taking over your topic but, Ive got a question, and I just wanna ask before I forget it! Was there any W/T axles that had the pumpkin on the drivers side?

Because, I know where a W/T Cherokee Chief is that is sitting in a salvage yard with a really fair price on it, and I wouldnt mind making the first Grand Wagoneer W/T! :D ;)

I looked at an '83 Cherokee Laredo that is a Wide Track

Also, all those '80s J-Trucks have Wide Track axles
