well that is all i have so far... i have only been really workign on this the past few days and im hoping to have it on the road and driving by the first of teh year... yes i know that is alot of work but i have most of the parts... here is my plans..

5.7L vortec 350 i have an eagle 383 stroker kit and i plan on using some sort of aftermarket fuel injection not sure whic brand yet but it will be whatever i get a good deal on. i hav ea turbo 400 with a stage 2 tci rebuild it is currrently attached to a np203 case but i will be using a twin sticked 205. that came out of a ford vehical not sure how that is gonna work but that is just one of mayn obsticales. as far as suspention. i went a picked up 2 sets of rear 2wd leaf springs off of mid 80s chevy trucks they are 54in springs. i will be runnin those front and rear with a shackle reversal in the front. and i guess a shackle flip in the rear. i would like to put the spring under the frame rail but im not sure if that would be a good idea since the rear frame rails are not boxed.... ideas???? i have a FF 14 bolt rear and D44 8 lug front. i plan on doing a full highsteer system and i wanna run between a 35 and 37in tire. depending on how tall it ends up sitting. as far as interior im gonna por 15 the floors and bedliner it and i plan on doing sheet metal door panels and dying all the tan plastic and the dash black. i want ev1s opinions ideas critiasizms pictures what ever u have to offer! thanks!:drivin:

thanks guys! and those are 54in chevy springs... i read that if you go much longer axle wrap and death wobble become a problem.

i have a complete vortec 350 and a eagle 383 forged stroker kit. and i will be using some sort of after market fuel injection i have a fresh th400 that is ready to go but i think i will be selling it for a 700r4. i was also gonna run a doubler but the more i look at it and put the number to it for another 2 or 300 bucks i can jsut buy a klune v or one of those black magic cases. so im prolly gonna go that route... and i have a np205 outta a ford... so its gonna be the wrong drop so im gonna sell that for a chevy 205. as far as inside im either gonne get my seats recovered or maybe look for some nice suburban seats.... im also gonna por 15 the floor. and beliner it maybe carpet idk yet.... sheet metal door panels and manuel windows. thats about it... any tips or questions jsut comment and let me know what you think!:drivin:

Looks like you have an 8-lug GM corporate 10-bolt front axle. Similar to the Dana44

Lookin' good so far!

I ran the casting number on the tube and it came up as a d44. It's outta an 84 3/4 ton truck. I was told the suburban came with the 8 lug 10 bolts. I just rebuilt and I used all d44 parts what makes u think ts a 10 bolt. More info please!

i thought the same thing about the front axle. the cover is different than a d44. the one you have is kind of round on the bottom. and if it came from an 84 i think it should be a 10 bolt. just like an 8 bolt d44, it will serve its purpose 'til it dont:thumbsup:. looks good so far. i sure like the hood treatment:cool:

actually there is, I was walking through the LKQ in Northville with some friends getting parts for our jeeps, and I dont know where my buddy saw it, but he found one, we were going to go back and get it to rebuild and either sell or figure out something to do with it, but we havent gone back yet, maybe because lack of funds

how much did they want for it?

not sure, my same buddy who found it, bought a rear d44 for his xj from them a few months ago for $100 plus core and tax which came out to about $175, next time I go Ill check, might be able to get away by telling them its from a xj or a small truck or somehting that way they wont overcharge you

holy rear lift blocks batman!!! What does your front pinon angle look like? I'm doing something similar, but using tubes thru the frame for the shackles on the rear of the front spring.

I'm doing the same thing but I am playin H**l tryin to find some shackles that will work. That is just temporary. And it's pretty bad right now. Lol. But hopefully sinkinthe shackles into the frame levels out the leaf!

Very nice looking waggy. Looks like you are doing it all the right way so far and not just hacking it together. Should be a nice rig when you are done. Especially with all the parts your throwing at it. The more chevy you put on these things the better :D

And as for the front axle it is for sure a 10 bolt. But it is basically identical strength wise. People have been arguing for years which one is stronger but I think its basically preference, I have used both. Fron the knuckles out they can all interchange and they even take the same U-joint.

oh ok awsome! good to know. it wont be around for long as soon as i find me a good deal on a d60 its coming out! and thanks im trying to do i right! the more work i put in now the better it will turn out and i wont have to worry bout stuff always breaking when it on the road!
