Hello all - while searching through craigslist for GW's and GW parts, I noticed an Estate Sale for Saul Shapiro of Grandwagoneers.com (formerly).
There was an entire thread about his business dealings, so some of us on here know him.
In any event, his entire collection of GW parts and 3 GWs are up for auction. I'm heading over to see what he has. A link to the post is here.

So it looks like Saul's family wants nothing to do with FSJs?? I hope that they make good money from the estate sale.
It looks like the auctioneer who is conducting the estate sale knows what they are doing. I guess they will get "Wagonmaster" money for the FSJs.
Surprised that he had a Cadillac.

Some NOS parts in some of those tubs, too bad they don't have list of part numbers.
If anyone is going to auction, I'm looking for a NOS Muscle grill center section in Chrome.
Also could use NOS headlight bezels in Chrome.
ANYTHING .... NOS Tan interior items also.
Send me a PM, will make it worth while.

I suppose my wife is just plain lucky that auction is so far away. Somebody will be getting some great deals by the lot.

I'm hoping to go to the preview tomorrow to see what all is there. Rather hard to tell from the pics what most of the stuff is. I'll see if I can take some better pics or at least get a better idea of what is there. The descriptions in the XLS file on the site doesn't help much!

Ran into a couple other board members at the preview. (Charles and Earl).
Kinda dissappointed, alot of the stuff looked like parts he took off jeeps he was fixing up, definately not restoration worthy parts. There was some NOS stuff but not too much(nothing like NOS cargo covers).
Red Mistress....I saw none of the parts you mentioned you are interested in. The new grills were all import repo parts.
Most of the new items were repo-Crown or had names of Chinese companies on the box/wrappers, or just in clear bags.
If someone was hoping to go and score good deal on a lot of rare, NOS parts, you'd be highly dissappointed. It is not a NOS goldmine.
I registered and will be going back tomorrow but not really sure what I'll bid on or how much I'll be willing to spend.

The complete jeeps will definately not get wagonmaster money. One was missing the pass. front seat, some rust, one had a broken shield. Can't see them going for too much money.

I kinda figured all the good stuff was already used up..... although U never know what kind of stuff he had stashed away waiting for right buyer.

I'll take that bet. Please mail the $5 to me :D
Didn't even find out about it until last night. No way I'm driving 7 hours one way tonight yet. Sounds like there's not much there anyway. Last thing I need is more used parts...

That poster is from the other half of the auction floor, with furniture, trinkets and stuff from other people/estates. (if I get around to it, I'll post a picture of a funny lion that is also being auctioned).

I spent the day there as well. Not incredibly impressed with the goods even though I came home with a fair amount of stuff. There were a few treasures there, but not a ton. The auctioneer was not happy that the stuff did not go for more money. The XJ sold for like 1300.00, one GW sold for less that 200.00 and the other for like 38.00, yes 38.00. They were nothing but parts cars. I thought about one of them but I was not sure if the heater worked and since had I brought one back, my wife would have made me sleep in it and it is getting cold here in central PA. Oh well..........
