My BW1339 has a MM part time kit (w/OD). I want to go wheeling this weekend, but my Xfer case wont shift into 4wd. What do you think about manually shifting into 4wd (some disassembly required) and leaving the hubs unlocked while I drive to the trails (approx 20 miles) and then lock the hubs for 4wd. I know this is a temp fix, but I want to go on the trip this weekend and don't want to wheel in 2wd. Any thoughts? Should I avoid this and miss the trip? Please advise.
