Drum to disc brake swap

First of all Im a new member so Im not quite sure if Im doing things the right eay. Anyways my 73 J 4000 has front drum brakes and I was wondering what kind of a chore it was to switch to disc. Do I need to change the axle? Can I just change the hubs? Im not much of a machanic so I may be over my head. Can anyone help?

There are several companys out there that make a kit depending on what axle you have. check in JP magazine, or another 4 wheel mag. I have also seen another post on this site where a guy fabercated a set. Good luck
