Here are the rims I picked up off a older Chevy Suv of some sort. I got a good price on them from the salvage yard, painted em up and got some rubber around them. The funny thing is now my rear end seems to sit up higher than it did before. Looks like I put a lift on it.

Both images I have the same 33inch tires. What caused this. The axles dont appear much different, d53 vs d44.

I do have the front on jack stands right now without an axle, maybe once the front end is back on it will sit lower? Seems like a strech but I wanted to post all the facts. Dont think it would make that much difference myself, the weight in the back is gonna be the same.

They were unpainted when I bought them, but had some surface rust, I cleaned them up and couldnt make em shine like I wanted so I painted them white to match my rear bumper, I have the center things that screw into the rims, gonna leave them chrome and see how that looks.
Not bad for 25 bucks a rim.

I think maybe your spring perch is a bit higher on the 44 than the old 53. That looks pretty good to me too! You will like the tighter turning radius.

I bet I could fit 35 inch tires under there now!
