Em and I shot straight north on Willow Springs road to where it meets up with Barkerville and Freeman roads.
In a straight line that area is about 30 miles south of the Florence-Kelvin radio towers.
Going in North on Willow Springs from Highway 79:
That's Black Mountain straight ahead.

The entrance to Willow Springs Ranch:
Their sign says the road is a dead end, but it looks like one could drop into upper Camp Grant Wash just south of the ranch via the power line road.

We backtrached south on Willow Springs Road and think we dropped into Camp Grant Wash area via the YellowJacket and Putnam Wash areas (see map).
This was a little house up a side canyon in lower Camp Grant Wash.
If you go, beware, there were bees in the walls of the house.

Heading east, out towards the San Pedro river the springs were still flowing.

When the canyon wall get narrower there are come great views.

Almost to the mouth of Camp Grant wash you get a good look at the Galiuro Mountains to the east.

Right before the pop out at the railroad tracks along the SanPedro River.

Traveling through a Mesquite forrest along the railroad track area next to the SanPedro.
http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s80/tadsal/Trails/BlkMtReconNov2009/08SanPedroForrest.jpg
You pop out right at the northen edge of Mammoth, AZ.

Was a nice run with a lot of trails going every which way.
Should be revisiting this area in a few weeks for more recon up further north.
