I just picked up a '79 Wagoneer for $2k. It's a one owner, 49k original miles. Runs well, shifts smooth, clean interior and a mostly rust free body and frame. The rear quarters on both sides have rust pockets, but everything else is fine. And everything works. I was looking for a late model, but after I saw a few of those this one was the best deal. I got a set of new Headman headers and a new Edelbrock Performer manifold. It's for a home built cooler/fishing pole rack on the front that'll come off. I don't like putting coolers in front of the radiator and I've got a smaller unit that's been on about 6 other FSJs in my family. Here's a link to the picks I've got:

It's going to be a daily driver for now. I'm thinking maybe a 2" lift and a TBI swap later on. I might swap out the Q-trac later too. But for now everything works and it's a comfortable ride. Anyone know what color the truck is or where to find the paint code on the truck?

Very nice. I would think that the QT unit would be great for a DD. I dig the pignose and the fishing rod rack is sweeeeet!
